korganizer start & end times

when i try to set a start and end time for a todo in korganizer the start time always changes to the same as the end time. this doesn't happen with recurrence off though.

any thoughts?

kde version 3.5.8

Distro: Gentoo

just upgraded to kde 3.5.9 and problem still exists even after removing the config files
