Help - Need to recover Contacts from Kmail

I just upgraded my from from Kubuntu 6.06 to 7.10. My email client is Kmail and I did backup the whole .kde directory before upgrading but forgot to export the contacts to a certain file format - I think this is how I did last time.

In any event, I was able to import all my mail but can't find a way to recover the contacts. Can someone help? Also, where does Kmail save the contacts, meaning which file?

Thanks.

RE: Help - Need to recover Contacts from Kmail

Never mind, I got it. All files are in the ~/.kde/share/apps/kabc/ directory. Here's the scoop, the mail application imports the files directly from the ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/directory, but Contacts doesn't. Instead, it must be exported first to some silly file and then imported.

Shouldn't these two apps work the same? I don't understand why the developers have to make it that difficult. It's pretty annoying, next time I'll use Thunderbird.
