KBattleship Network Error

I am trying to get kbattleship working on two pcs running freespire2.0. I followed the instructions provided
on pc1
1. selected Start server, nickname entered, port = 54321
on pc2
1. selected Connect to Server, nickname entered, port = 54321, found pc1 and auto filled in Server field.
2. pressed enter key
3. error message comes up couldn't look up host

As I am very new to linux I am not sure how to troubleshoot, any help appreciated
