'minimal mode' ?

hi everybody,

I want to use a virtual XP (vmware) but dont have too much RAM (only 512MB).
Mabe it would be cool just to use as less RAM as possible to run KDE (of the hosting kUbuntu 7.04) while running the vm.

Now I just wonder if there is any "button" or so in KDE telling KDE to reduce itself to the absolute minimum (regarding RAM use). An 'On/Off-switch' type of thing would be ideal I guess.

thx for your replies
