Login Slideshow - Kubuntu 7.10 - no go

Hi!

I am having no success activating the background login slideshow in 3.5.8 / Kubuntu 7.10. The usual modifications to kcontrol and kdmrc get me nowhere. I put in bug report to Kubuntu but the report has not generated any activity.

Makes me think that someone wants me to look at the default Kubuntu login screen. ?(

Anyone know anything that I am missing?
