Get KDE into Desktop Login screen -> Options -> Sessions menu

I installed an x86 version of Solaris 9 into VMware as a new VMware machine on a Windows host system. During the installation process only CDE and Gnome got installed (plus I left myself with to little disk space on / to install KDE).

Because there is no VMware tools for Solaris (from VMware), you normally are relegated to using Solaris only from the command line. But I was able to modify my install and install appropriate ptaches and drivers to get the Xwindows capabilities to function, so I now have access to the CDE and Gnome desktops.

But I prefer KDE. So, I downloaded the KDE package from Sun's website (along with K-Office). Then I had to relocate many of the directories on / to /export/home and then replace them with symbolic links on / (Sun document # 20685) to create enough disk space to install the SFWkde package.

Now I have the kde and koffice packages installed.....but I don't know how to tell Solaris to start up KDE as my desktop environment. When I boot up and get to the initial desktop login screen, if I click Options and then Session, KDE is not in the Session menu. CDE is there. Gnome is there. Users Last Desktop is there. Command Line Console is there. And I think there is an option to reset the login process (maybe in case you typed the wrong userid). But after installing KDE, it is not listed in that Session menu.

How do I get KDE listed in that session menu as a Desktop environment to choose and actually have it start up KDE when I choose that menu item?
