startup headache

There are two things that are starting up with my computer, and though I have googled for almost an hour, I cannot find out how to turn them off.

The first is knetwork manager. It is not in my ~.kde/Autostart folder, it's not mentioned anywhere in the Control Center; however, in the process list it seems to be associated with kdeinit. I guess that's what starts it up? I can't find where...

The other is syndock. If I do kcminit --list, that one shows up in the list. I can't figure out how to turn it off either.

I looked for both in the startkde script, but I don't see them listed there either.
