using single click in konqueror navigation panel in a double-click system

Hi,

I was using all-single click system until recently. Because of the increased amount of file management, selecting files became a burden and I went to double-click mode.

But this changed the behaviour of konqueror navigation panel, now the folders in the tree are also opened by double click. Two problems arise;

1. quickly looking into a number of directories is very hard because of all those double clicks
2. when I single-click on a folder in the tree, it gets selected but the folder viewed on the right is not the selected folder

I was not able to find a setting about "single-click only in konqueror navigation panel while double click everywhere else", is there one ? Is there a workaround or patch ?

[[ I'm using KDE 3.5.7 on gentoo ]]

RE: using single click in konqueror navigation panel in a double-click system

I think this is a bug.
This doesn't happen to me, in KDE 3.5.5, Debian Etch. If I single click the "plus" the folder is opened. You could try keting used to keep ctrl pressed when needed :).
Enjoy

hmmm. seems like a bug also; because when I booted my computer today, the behaviour was correct [ single click on the tree, double click everywhere else ]

The bug must be about changing the setting while konqueror is running.
