kttsd (text-to-speech) doesn't save files

Hi there!

I'm trying to create some audio files using kttsd (the KDE text-to-speech software). To do this, I click on "Keep audio files" and then specify a folder. It all works well, and the text files are spoken by the american male which comes with FESTIVAL. The problem is, when I go to the folder I specified, there is nothing there.

Could someone please help me with this?

I'm using ubuntu Feisty with a Gnome desktop.

Thanks,
Leandro
