KDE - Trash - Selecting to Delete all out of Trash states it cannot delete file that doesn't exit

Ok, first off, let me say MAJOR KUDOS FOR KDE. I'm about a 1 week newbie to linux (Suse Linux 10.2 was my choice).

Trash issue = When I open up Trash or right click and try to remove ALL documents, I'm meet with there that the file 'sauerbraten_2' is not a valid file. Now, it's a long story but i'll try to make is short....

I downloaded the Sauerbraten file, extracted to some local directory, something like /home/<Name>/Desktop. I that was my initial download location. Now, as a very new newbie, i was trying to figure out how to extract and run this game, there was a time or 2 i think moved the file but don't know exact steps... BUT the gist is I finally got the game run. After I decided that the game ran fine I went to delete the downloaded file from the KDE desktop and any other duplicates I had on the system. (please bear with it was 2am in the morning when I doing all this :D) I went to delete all files out of the trash when i ran into the error that basically states...........Cannot delete file that doesn't exist (now mind you the file this is trying to delete is in a hidden folder and path is something to effect of ....... /home/.local/share/file/sauerbraten_2).

SO in essence this is trying to delete a file it KNEW was there but is not there anymore. It's like it is caching file name and remembered it was there when actually the is deleted (via Root in a terminal windows).

Can someone tell me HOW to fix the Trash so it doesn't error on this anymore?

Also, in my so wonderful newbie adventures last night, I also was able to manage changing the function of the trash (empty/full idicator) where when is actually something is doesn't show the Trash Full icon, anyone know to re-enable that function again, I think I just set the icon to a static empty Trash icon by accident. Again, this was all about 2am in the morning.

Also Please note that i'm not home to get the exact error message but will add it on next post.

Let the Linux Newbie scolding begin :D.

Thanks for any help, in advance.

Good job KDE. I really like what you have done with the Desktop and other added applications.

Right click the Trash icon, select 'Empty Trash Bin'
....Update here is the message I receive......The file or folder /home/<name>/.local/share/Trash/files/sauerbraten_2 does not exist.

Well, this is no longer a issue

I went ahead and bit the bullet and just waxed the hard drive and loaded 10.3. Although I would still like to know if anyone has a defintive answer to the issue. I'm still interested in find out the fix. Although, without me able to try any suggestions, I guess we'll never know the suggestion worked or not. :D.

Thanks

RE: Well, this is no longer a issue

I also had this problem. It complained about a file that does not exist.

So I went to

~/.local/share/Trash/info

and deleted all the files there. After it just complained one more time, but after everything went back to normal.
