Desperately Searching Inbox (or) why doesn't /var/mail serve)?

Folks,

First, I just figured out some of evolutions' tricks--like "saving" an email with mouse. In mutt, you just type "s" and things are saved to ~/Mail/<user>. I haven't gotten tht far with Kmail. There are several incoming messages queued in my /var/mail/kline file, but Kmail couldn't open it. I created another account and chose Inbox, grep -r around and found ^Location should =$HOME/inbox.

After making sure that neither evo nor mutt were active, I exec'd Kmail. Nothing. Can somebody kindly clue me in on how to read the mail in /var/mail/kline?

There are certain URL's I want to goto Konquorer, but the FAQ resolved that.

thanks for any clues,

gary kline
