kmix volume slider

Hi,

After an update from KDE 3.5.5 to 3.5.7, kmix slider (volume gui, or whatever it is called), which was made appear by the keyboard control keys XF86Audio*, doesn't function well anymore. MasterMixerDevice is set to the front channel of my HDA_Intel. Muting is working, but it doesn't let lower/raise the volume. Trying to lower shows 0%, to raise 11%, but with no change in the volume. It works like 0/1 switch (0% - 11%). My dist is Gentoo.

Any ideas?
