Removable medium shown as hard disc

I have my various removable media such as pendrives defined in fstab with corresponding rules in udev. When I put a device into a usb port I can mount it predictably in its directory. I am not using hal.

My problem is that the various drives are all shown in konqueror's storage media page as 'hard discs'. How to I get kde/konqueror to recognise then as removable media?

TIA

(Running slackware 11)

I have a sort of answer

It depends on what the name of the directory in /mnt/ or /media/ is.

As long as it is named usb* then konqueror sees it as a removable medium
As long as it is named cdrom* then konqueror sees it as a CD drive

So what do I have to call it for it to be seen as a camera?
