Desktop goes blank.

Hi,

When I used Windows XP I was able to set a power function to shut off the monitor after a certain period of time. I could also have the screensaver start after a certain period of time.

But with KDE:
- The monitor doesn't shut off. It justs goes blank.

I have checked the settings in Control Center. The screen saver is not set to go on in the "Screen Saver - Control Center". And The Power Control only has a Laptop Battery setting. The Power Control doesn't have anything about shutting off the monitor.

I don't understand it. I can't find the section where I tell KDE not to make the screen go blank.

Thank you for your help.

Reed

RE: Desktop goes blank.

Found it:
KDE Control Center -> Peripherals -> Display -> Power Control.
The box labeled Enable display was unchecked.

I checked it and moved all the ticks to 'disabled'.
