Finally accessed KDE (Gentoo); login autoconfig?

Hey guys... this is my first linux of any sort, running Gentoo (wicked pain!) but I am finally @ the KDE login.

Had to make a user (won't let root users in)
Once I get in I got an instant error something like can't start kdeautoconfig please check installation, or something like that.

How vague is that ?(

Anyway... I am really getting sick of all these roadblocks, and I am SO close to finally getting it working. But alas, another issue.

Any hints...?
