kde input actions fail (only on konsole)

hello all,

I have a strange situation link to konsole it seems

I have setup on kde 3.5.5 some input actions using the function from kcontrol

example, ALT-F should return [Nbe7f3ct!] and ALT-E should return Mr@/4B9~

those are the passwords of some devices I am controling (sure I modify the letters and the numbers, but I left the non ascii caracters as it might be relevant)

as you can guess, with password as those, I am using keyboard shortcuts as I refuse to commit password to memory (there is 10 of them, as difficult to memories than those 2)

on any terminal (tilda, gnome-terminal, multi-gnome-terminal...) if I type ALT-F I have the [Nbe7f3ct!] correctly entered

on all terminal depending of konsole (konsole, yakuake) if I type ALT-F few time, I never get the same result, [Nbe7f3ct!], [NNe7f3ct!]...some letters goes missing, some get repeat twice...

even on this text area, while typing this message, I can use the shortcut correctly, but not on konsole,

I am thinking of a kind of typing delay or something...

any idea someone ?
