K3b Freezes Up

I want to burn some data files to a CD. K3b recognizes the drive and that it contains a blank CD. Then I find the folder I want to burn and drag it down to the area where data are to be burned. All looks well as far as I can tell, but when I hit Burn, the program runs briefly and then freezes up. This occurs before there is any indication that anything was burned onto the CD. ?(

After rebooting, I tried again. This time I opened the folder and selected all of the files in it to be burned. Same result. It froze up. ?(

Does anyone have a suggestion about what I sould be doing to get this program to run? ;(

Thank you!
