KView, gifs and small pics

Is it possible to look at animated gifs with KView. It doesn't seem to work, but it's something so fundamental that I can't believe that it would not be possible.

Another thing: Is it possible to get KView to act sensibly, i.e. as for example the Windows Image Viewer (they got that right at least). There big images are shrunk so they fit the screen, but small images are kept in 100 % (and not in pixelated 800 % mess). I don't seem to be able to do that with KView. If I use the scale option, small images explode all over the screen. If I use the 'Best Fit' option (whatever it means) then the window jumps around very annoyingly. If it would just be possible to a) keep a maximized window ith 'Best fit' and b) keep all the images centered on the screen, it would be perfect. Right now it really ain't.
