Debian etch KDE 3.5 No Task Bar

I just upgraded from Debian sarge to etch, which changed also X Servers. After finally getting X to work, KDE comes up OK, but the bottom task bar is missing. It actually shows for a few seconds, but soon goes away.

The configuraton screens do not mention the task bar. Has X scrolled it off?

Gnome works OK, task bar and all, but I am used to KDE and want to get back to my comfortable world.

Thanks,

Dan

RE: Debian etch KDE 3.5 No Task Bar

Not to worry. I found my problem. There must have been some left over suff from the previous version of KDE. I found this when I noticed that a newly added user came up OK after going through the configuration screens.

I just blew away the .kde folder in my home directory and now I am in business.
