kde4 is available at the buildservice of opensuse:
http://software.opensuse.org/download/KD…/openSUSE_10.2/

Checkout http://en.opensuse.org/Add_Package_Repositories_to_YaST for more information about adding the kde4 package source to YaST.

kde4 is expected to get released in october.
Usually about 3 months before that, the first usable versions are released, getting more usable over time until the first beta's and release candidates.

kde as nickname: i guess all other members are more modest :)

Ok, I installed in in suse 10.2 (In vmware of course)
and after installing the packages rebooted in kde4.
The desktop logoff screens are better but dont offer a way to turn off.
Most of the desktop doesnt work. ;(
kcontrol is empty for example and krunner crashes every start :(

Ps: how do i get kde4 from svn, and how to compile it?
