a sound editing program

Hi, I'm looking for a program to edit recorded sound. Does anybody know of a good one, which either is part ofKDE or is compatible with KDE?

My OS is FreeBSD 6.2.

Check out Audacity at sourceforge. Pro strength sound editor.
Don't Give Up!
