[Kopete] Send message to someone without adding to contact list?

I've searched and searched with as many keywords as my thesaurus and I can think of, so apologies if this has been answered before.

In Gaim, Trillian, and other clients (IIRC) all have some easily found button or menu item to send a message to someone who isn't on your contact list. Just type in a username, pick a protocol, and click send. Kopete seems to be missing this. Am I blind and just missing an obvious menu item? It seems to me a straightforward thing to have, but I can't seem to find a way to send a message to someone without adding them to my contact list beforehand.

If it matters, I'm trying to do this via AIM, but if possible I'd like to do this via any protocol.

any ideas?

RE: [Kopete] Send message to someone without adding to contact list?

I'll bump this ... I googled a whole bunch of keywords for this and this is the only post or page at all I found about it ... I have the same problem ... I like kopete (hell I might replace pidgin with it, pidgin gets more retarded with each release) but I can't stand not having that feature ... what's up with that?
