laptop - desktop synchronization tool needed

hi everybody,

i am looking for a tool to synchronize data between my laptop and my desktop pc, like emails, documents etc. my first question: what is the easiest way to connect the two devices for data transfer? and second: is there an easy-to-use tool doing the job, preferably a kde application? (i'm running kubuntu 7.04)

any help appreciated. many thanks in advance,

easyfragger

I think you should use rsync . I'm not aware of a KDE app which does exactly what you request, but there's an app Keep. It's a backup app using rsync-backup.
