starting GUI app in other than current workspace

starting GUI app in other than current workspace

What is the recommended way to start a GUI app in a workspace other than the current workspace?

I known how to launch a new processing using kstart. In order to manage the child process from a parent, I'd rather be able to set the desired workspace either from the parent or during initialization of the child process.
