kmail loads all emails several times

hi,

since a few days I've had a problem with kmail: every few hours or days kmail loads all mails from an account. sometimes of all acounts sometimes only of one.
I thought there yould be someting wrong in the files which store which emails are already loaded (in the .kde/share/apps/kmail-directory), e.g. blauenuss:@pop.web.de:995. so i deleted them. thus all email are loaded again and these files are created new.
but the problem persists!
i had this problem in the years before maybe two times a year. but now it is sometimes two times a day!
any suggestions?
