Konqueror - Hidden Files

Konqueror - Hidden Files

Hello,

In konqueror, whenever i select home directory, my hidden files are shown.
If i unselect hidden files, and save the profile, next time i open konqueor, the hidden files are shown.

I've gone so far as to remove my konqueror folders within .kde/share/apps and my konquerorrc files. restart kde - still the same.

This ONLY affects the /home/user folder.

If i make adjustments to /home/bin, then the adjustments stay.


Confused.... Yep - Any ideas?

is there a .directory file in your home directory that orders konqueror to behave this way?

I've deleted, renamed, reinstalled, copied all sorts of files, and just about given up hope.

Yep indeed, in .directory

[URL properties]
HTMLAllowed=true
ShowDotFiles=false
ViewMode=konq_detailedlistview


changed to ShowDotFiles=true

and all ok....
