KDM log file

Hi there,

I was wondering whether it was possible to control in any way the size of /var/log/kdm.log. I did not see any documentation on this topic and I know GDM is able to shrink the logs it makes.

Does anyone have a clue? Thanx in advance,

RE: KDM log file

Use logrotate, it's designed for managing log files in /var/log .

Thank you Bram,

I asked several people around me, and it seems that in our old distribution (SLC3 based on RHEL3), kdm.log was not in the logrotate. Gdm neither, but this manager has an embedded system so that there is no need to use logrotate for it.

So I'm going to use logrotate...
