kaccess locks my keyboard

Hi,

I use Kubuntu Edgy on my desktop and I'm experiencing a weird problem, apparently related with the last upgrade that involved automatix2 and the linux restricted modules of kernel 2.6.17: kaccess completely freeze my keyboard.

When I kill kaccess (via an ssh connection) the keyboard starts working, but starting it in a shell freeze it again without any error. I solved temporary by deleting kaccess.desktop.

My questions are:

  • What kaccess does? The manual says that it checks files and other data transports, such as shared memory, pipes, files, etc. Checks for what? If it doesn't work may create side effects?
  • How to debug the problem more in detail? (as I said I don't have any error message or so)
  • It may have any relation with automatix or kernel modules?

Thanks in advance
Jimmi
