How to configure 'close KDE and return to console' ?

Hi,

When I want to log off from KDE, I can only choose from three options: End Current Session, Turn Off Computer, Restart Computer

But a while ago I saw KDE on some live-CD, which allowed me to close KDE and return to the console.

At this moment I often switch to console with ctrl-alt-f1 and 'kill -9' all processes 'ps aux' gives me as root with the name kde in it.
As this is not a nice way to close KDE, I would like to be able to have a 'close KDE and return to console' option added to the log off menu. Since I saw it on some live-CD, I know it must be possible.

Does anyone know how to configure this?

Thank you very much in advance for your replies.
