kopete emoticons

hi.

since some time i am having problems with the emoticons.
I can see everything people send to me, but nobody sees mine emoticons. (all my contacts use or msn or icq)
I tried changing the themes, and making changes into the themes. using only .png or .gif
but always the same. People just see the " :-) " or name i put to the emoticon.

i'm using:
kopete 0.12.4
KDE 3.5.6

i did look on the forum & g4l and didn't find any helpful thread.
If anyone have any idea i'll be very thankful

at the settings of every account type that supports exporting emoticons you can select a checkbox that activates it.

err.. sorry i forgot to say i did all the obvious things like going up and down the configuration and setup and settings. i tried each one of all the options on and off.

listen, i didn't use the word obvious as pejorative, i just mean obvious for me. :-|
(btw because of THAT option u refer i started cleaning my themes from .gif' just leaving .png)

Exporting emoticons with kopete is kinda buggy.
On my system, kopete starts sending my avatar in stead of emoticons..
And when chatting with users of kmess or amsn makes their client crash as soon as i smile..

So my suggestion would be to look for another client like amsn or mercury if you want to be able to send emoticons in a stable consequent way..
