BBC News Videos launch two embedded kmplayers

If I click on any of the "Video and Audio News" items on the BBC News website, I get a pop-up window containing two overlapping embedded kmplayers (using xine backend), both of which play the video stream, usually with a small time offset which gives a strange 'echo' effect.

Do other people see this effect? Is this a bug? I can't see anything similar in the bugtracker.

If it is a bug, then in what? Konqueror? kmplayer? javascript?

If I disable Javascript for the BBC News domain, only one embedded kmplayer is launched in the same window (not in a pop-up), so I can use this as a work-around. Just wondering if I should raise a new bug report.

works fine over here with the mplayer backend, but i guess that should not make a difference ;)

Re: BBC News Videos launch two embedded kmplayers

For cases like this KPlayer has a right click option called Start KPlayer, that will play the video in the standalone program, in fact that is what I use most of the time since I don't like to watch videos embedded in web pages. Not sure if KMPlayer has a similar option though, but you can always switch to KPlayer easily.
