kpilot and palm T|X: syncing ereased calneder and tasks!!

Hello all,

I'm new here, and I'm frustrated enough to put this message public: today I wanted to test how my palm works together with linux, so I found kpilot, installed it and had a testdrive. This is the version information:

Version: KPilot 4.6.0 (blivit)
Version: pilot-link 0.12.1
Version: KDE 3.5.4
Version: Qt 3.3.6

Only afterwards my calendar and tasks were completely erased. Unfortunately I did not notice BEFORE I made a sync with my notebook on windows (were I normally sync my palm) - and the consequence is that also on my PC all calendar entries and tasks got erased. this is not good! So, if you're testing kpilot - be aware that this is a piece of risky software ...

regs,
stephan

Thanks for warning.
Kpilot is known for causing problems with syncing as you discribed.

A bit of a bump but a little something to add.
I had the exact same problem with my TX, but I notice that all of my tasks ARE listed in kpilot and both my tasks AND calendar are preserved in kontact. The PC DOES recieve new additions to the palm. It simply erases them off the palm and refuses to write ANYTHING -TO- the palm.

The Palm -> PC aspect of the sync seems to be healthy and well on the TX. It's only the other direction where things go haywire.

Hello,

I'm new to this place, I was searching for a solution for the problem mentioned here. Is there anyone who knows how I can fix it? I've got exactly the same problem and same versions of software.

Thanks,

Renate
