Does Kmail or Kontact support e-mail linkage?

I'm new to this, so please forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong place.

I am using Outlook with Business Contact Manager. I want to switch, but I need something similar. With Vista out, I'm looking to make a big change, at least away from Microsoft's Office and maybe also their OS. I like the open-source idea.

Kmail looks good, but from what I'm reading I don't see that it has the ability to link e-mails to contacts, so that I can keep track of my correspondence. I need this ability. Is this possible?

I want one program that has e-mail, contact manager, calendar, tasks, etc.

Thanks in advance for the help. Any suggestions are also welcome.

Checkout the application 'Kontact', it's an integrated PIM-application that works bit like ms outlook.

kontact is a frontend that combines kmail with several other kde applications, like korganizer for your kalendar, kaddressbook for you contacts, etc. etc.

Could you please tell me where I can go to ask this question? I looked at Kontact and can't find anywhere anything that says it will do what I want. And I can't find anywhere to ask a question. Thanks.

RE: Does Kmail or Kontact support e-mail linkage?

This is not implemented yet as far as I know, but I can remember someone submitted a wish for that at http://bugs.kde.org . Unfortunately I was unable to relocate it in a minute, but you could have a look. It is possible to add your email address to the bug report so you can follow it's progress.
