Problem with disabling Autostart items

Greetings from Gdansk!

I'm a new member but strong KDE supporter with 2 years desktop experience.

I can't seem to be able to remove the following items from /opt/kde3/share/autostart :

irkick.desktop
kgpg.desktop
korgac.desktop
ktip.desktop
oooqs.desktop
opensuseupdater.desktop
runupdater.desktop
syndock.desktop

/Forgot to mention my /home/.kde/Autostart folder only has the .directory file in it.

Any help will be appreciated, although this isn't an urgent problem.

you should be able to remove them, but only as root.

please start konqueror as root (choose [filemanagement (administration mode)] in the startmenu of start konqueror with kdesu konqueror, browse to the directory and move away the .desktop files you don't want to use.

That didn't work, it gave me the error:

"Access denied to (file name)"

I also tried doing that from the command line as root using the mv function without success.

What worked was logging off and on again as root, and moving/deleting the .desktop files.

Thanks!
