KMail and local files

Hello,

I try to interface KMail with various archived mailboxes in mbox format. I proceed as follows:
1) in the "Local Folder", I create f.i. a folder 'Mutt Sent Mail', with format mbox
2) in Settings->Configure KMail, I add a new account, 'Mutt Sent Mail', of type local, with associated file ~/Mail/sent-mail, and with destination folder 'Mutt Sent Mail'

The problem is when I check mail in Mutt Sent Mail, everything is transfered under '.kde/share/apps/kmail/Mutt sent Mail', and the original file (~/Mail/sent-mail) is emptied. How can I prevent such behaviour ?

TIA

CdM

on new installations, kmail users ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail as default mail directory, in stead of ~/Mail.

To change that you can edit the config file ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc

Look for the string folders= under the header [General]
if not present create it yourself.
Then edit the line to make it point to the directory ~/Mail:
folders=$HOME/Mail
