phyical memory running high

After startup and logged in to the KDE desktop (version 3.2.2), the free physical memory used to have 60% available (about 250,000KB). However, after browsing and some konsole works (it usually takes about 2~3 hours) , the physical memory would only have 3~40,000KB free at the KDE system guard (even if i have closed all applications, it still stays high). I wonder if there is something should be done to free the physical memory. Thanks for all~

RE: phyical memory running high

No, there's really no need to worry. The amount of free memory shown by several tools is misleading (but unfortunately wrong interpreted by many people).
