Do you run Super Karamba?

I have the same problem and yes, I am running Super Karamba. I will disable Super Karamba when I am home and see how that affects the issue. Thank you for the suggestion!

I'm running Slackware 12.(1), the current release. The KDE version is 3.5.7.
Hardware:
-Dell Vostro 1000 Laptop
-dual core (AMD)
-120 Gb
-2Gb RAM
-resolution:1280*800
-ATI integrated video card

As long as I'm using my laptop, everythings fine. From the moment I leave the laptop for 30 min (maximum), I can see that X is taking 100 % of my cpu's.
That's the reason why it stops responding.

Would this be the same problem as the one that is described above?

I've tried to disable my screensaver (tried several of them), but still got the problem.

I use SuperKaramba, but I'm not sure if I had the problem without using SuperKaramba.

Does anybody found the answer to this problem? Should be solved by now, i guess...

Thanks.

So why not to try to turn the SuperKaramba off to make yourself sure?

I'm currently running OpenSuSE, removed slackware for the X (or superkaramba) problems .

I'll reinstall Slackware (for the 20'th time) and turn off SuperKaramba. :)

Slackware works perfectly, if SuperKaramba is not running.
