Konqueror opens directories with Kate

Hi all,

I have a weird problem: when I try to open a directory in konqueror, it tries to open it in Kate,
resulting in an error:

Quoted

The file 'file:///myhome/somedir' could not be opened: it is not a normal file, it is a folder
.

I can get into a directory by calling e.g. 'konqueror ~/', but when I click on a subdirectory, I get
the same problem. I'm working on a newly installed Fedora Core 6 system (on which I'm not
root). I guess this is some kind of file associations problem, but I can't really see where to find
the associations for directories, I thought that was built-in. Anyway, any ideas?
