Kmail: Saving email from my IMAP account

I'm trying to save my messages from an IMAP account that's soon to be deleted.

This thread says they're stored in a particular location (~/.kde/share/apps/kmail), but I find that while there is some info there, none of the messages are actually kept there -- there's only a bunch of text files describing the folders in my IMAP account.

Now, I gather IMAP servers keep the mail in ther server itself, so the question is:

How do I save copies of my emails from my IMAP account?
