KDE/GNOME Graphical Issue

Hi, recently installed nvidia driver 1-0-9631, where I can log into Mandriva (user and root) using the various window managers (KDM, GDM, XDM) and 'startx'. However, once in GNOME or KDE, the icons disappear/re-appear and when opening into a window(s), the box tends to streak. Anyone have any suggestions for a remedy to this problem? Attached is the Kdm.log Thanks
