Kooka - Can't Print

I can't get Kooka to print to anything (local printer, network printer or PDF writer).

It will scan and save OK, but when I ask it to print, I get a window saying "Generating Print Data" which takes forever and produces almost continuous hard disc access. Eventually this finishes (having apparently produced an enormous file somewhere), then goes into "Printing Document". This also takes forever, and eventually produces an empty file.

I'm using Suse 10.0, KDE 3.5.5, CUPS and an HP C4180 Photosmart All-in-One, which works perfectly from all other applications.

Does anyone have any ideas?
