Kmix Capture Bug (?)

Hello everybody.

It's my first post here and I'm a Linux newbie, so please forgive any stupid thing I may say below smile

I had the strange problem that all the levels in KMix were restored between sessions/reboots but the Capture Input. I fixed this (thanks to a hint I got in Usenet) by setting the Capture Level using alsamixer. The strange thing is that KMix does not honor the setting in alsamixer, with the misleading result that I've got Capture to Max in alsamixer and Capture to 0 in Kmix.

Has anyone an idea why the Capture is not synchronized between alsamixer and Kmix while all the remaining volumes are??
Is it a "feature" I didn't understand
