krandrtray - no help / no properties

Good Day all . . .

I want to adjust my monitor's screen either 90 degrees left or right so that I can use the monitor in the portrait position and not the usual landscape position.

I am using a ViewSonic VP2000s which has pivoting capabilities. My Kubuntu 6.10 is the only distro where KDE has failed to ID the monitor and it also fails to list it in display properties - hardware. X has it correct as monitor and model in xorg.conf.

The closest pivoting relative to the VP2000s that I could find is the VP201?. I entered that monitor manually and the whole range of resolutions is displayed but nothing about rotating the screen image.

I click Configure Display . . . in the system tray krandrtray but the window that opens is completely blank (unpopulated). I have loaded the program as root but still a blank window. Also the Help section is none existent.

Does anyone has any ideas for me?

Thanks . . .
