Hello,
I'm running more than one linux OS on my laptop and would like them all the share the same kmail mail folder. I have a data partition where I put common files to share (e.g. Konqueror bookmarks), and separate partitions for Kubuntu 6.06, Blag 5000, Zenwalk 3.0, Slackware 10.2.
I copied one of the ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/mail folders over to /data, and changed the ~/.kde/share/config/kmailrc file to point kmail at the new mail folder (/data/computer/Common/mail). Kmail in each OS now looks there and I see the subfolders and their messages in each OS's kmail. What I cannot do is retrieve messages and have them be placed in the new folder. I get a message to say that the "message could not be added to the folder" and kmail then crashes.
Am I doing something idiotic? Is this a non-starter, or am I missing something that I need to be doing?
Donald
ps Kubuntu has kde3.5.3, Blag has kde3.5.4, Slackware has3.4.2, Zenwalk has kde3.5.4 (within xfce).
