minimized windows

I recently noticed a change in desktop behavior after my wife used my computer  and I can't seem to change it back to the way it was. I'm using KDE 3.5.3. Unwanted behavior is that when moving the cursor to the top of the screen, open windows will minimize to the taskbar, which I find annoying. I could not find a config item to change this and I did read the documention. If anyone has a quick answer it would be much appreciated.

RE: minimized windows

I believe this is the Active Border feature. Right click a taskbar -> Configure Window Behaviour -> Advanced. In this form you can disable the Active Borders.
