customizing kde widgets

hi,

i'm trying to use kdevelop as developing application, however, i've had limited success in changing the default theme to a dark theme.

in particular, i haven't been able to change the colors of the "tree view" widget:

any pointers, how to tweak the color settings?

beside that, i think it's very important to have a good dark color theme, working "out of the box" for kde. imo, it's much better for the eyes working on a white-on-black than on a black-on-white environment.

thanks in advance ... tim

The setting that you're looking for is actually in KControl -> Appearance and Themes -> Colors -> Alternate list background (or something like that) from the dropdown list. I think by default, some KDE color schemes use alternating background colors for lists.
