How do I make A4 the default format in Kword?

How do I make A4 the default format in Kword?

Whatever I do just jumps back to US Letter paper format. I do have US English as the preferred language, but I prefer metric and ISO settings.

Thanks for any tip!

You can configure that in the Control Center -> Regional & Accessibility and there the last tab.

RE: How do I make A4 the default format in Kword?

Hi,

Thanks for the information!

It may be intuitive, once you know it. I think some sort of hint inside KWord would have been nice.

Also, why not have a "per application" choice, besides any global settings? Surely, some people may prefer different applications to behave differently. What do I know, but maybe architects only rarely prints out from Karbon in A4 but mostly in A3, yet prints KWord documents in A4.

My two cents..

Whats is the best way to put forward that idea to the KDE team? Here?

No, http://bugs.kde.org is certainly the place to get in touch with developers.
