[Kopete] Problem with webcam

I have a problem getting my Philips Toucam working in Kopete.
When I go to the devices section of the configuration, the cpu is at 100% and after some time I get to see the tab, but no video. There's just a QT logo where the video should be, though the options show the webcam. The machine continues using 100% and I can't get to change the settings in the tab.
Other times, however, the program crashes when I click the devices tab.
When I open Kopete from the console, it shows:

$ kopete

Minor opcode: 3

Failed to open device

The webcam works fine in both Xawtv and gqcam.

Please, can anyone help me with this?

I just downloaded version 0.12.2 of Kopete, as it has become available as a package for Ubuntu. It seems to have fixed some of the problems, as I now get a black screen instead of the QT logo, and the program doesn't lock up.
I'll have to see if I can get it to work now.

Hello,

I have a Philips Toucam Pro II (840k) and I have exactly the same problem : xawtv works flawlessly with it but I only got a black screen in the 'configure' menu of Kopete.

I'm using (on Debian Testing) the latest pwc driver (10.0.12-rc1) and the latest svn Kopete (downloaded today) on the stable 3.4 branch (it's still written 0.12.3 in the about menu).
Linux kernel is 2.6.17.

It seems that it's somewhat possible to make it work :
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=1860123

But I haven't got a clue of why it isn't working here.

Attached is the log output of kopete, nothing seems to be wrong except a m_buffer_size of 0 and something about YUV ou RGB format.

If someone has managed to use Kopete or has some hints, please help ! ;-)
