digital camera

Hi,new to kde forum.I am running MEPIS 6.0 KDE 3.53 on amd 64 2800.I have digicam and when I plug in the camera and turn it on it shows the thumbnails but will not dowload the pictures.Does anyone know where to start to look for the problem?
