KDE Add-on's

Hi all,

I'm new to Linux and KDE, can someone please have a look at the .jpg file I attached. It's a snapshot of someone's desktop, I circled, in red, a portion of the desktop. There are some apps running there that I would like to know more about. I think I have heard of these things being called "widgets".

Can someone please tell me what those things are officially called and also can someone please refer me to a few websites where I can download that stuff?

Thanks,

These desktop widgets for KDE use Superkaramba. Your distribution might have them available in their repositories.

Superkaramba's website: http://netdragon.sourceforge.net/ssuperkaramba.html

You can get themes for Superkaramba in http://www.kde-look.org under the Karamba section.

Hope that helps.
